This page presents the official exploded-view diagram and full bill of materials for the Davey EcoSalt 2 salt pool chlorinator, covering all five models in the DES2 range: DES2-15E, DES2-15EL, DES2-25E, DES2-25EL, and DES2-35E. The range spans three chlorine-output tiers — 15 g/h, 25 g/h, and 35 g/h — making it suitable for a wide variety of residential pool sizes. The “EL” suffix denotes the low-salt variants within the 15 g/h and 25 g/h tiers, which share many components with their standard counterparts but require specific cells and electronics. Whether you are a pool owner carrying out routine maintenance or a technician on a service call, you should be able to identify the exact part you need within minutes using the numbered diagram and the parts list below.

Every numbered call-out on the diagram corresponds directly to a row in the parts list table below, so begin by locating the area of the unit that is giving trouble — the cell end, the plumbing connections, or the control box — and note the number printed against the component you need. Once you have the position number, scan the matching row or rows in the table to find the correct SKU for your specific model. Be aware that several position numbers appear more than once in the list because different models require different parts at the same location: position 4 (the replacement cell), position 8 (the power supply), position 10 (the control box), and position 11 (the PCB assembly) each have multiple variants tied to individual model codes. Always confirm your exact model reference — for example DES2-15EL rather than simply DES2-15E — before adding a part to your order, as these variants are not interchangeable. The control boxes and PCBs for different output tiers are not interchangeable with one another, nor with US-market variants. If your model label is worn, the model code is also printed on the inside of the control box housing. Once you have matched position number to model, the SKU in the final column is what you enter directly into the search box or cart on this site.

The EcoSalt 2 is built around two broad sections: the wet-side cell assembly and the dry-side electronics housing. On the wet side, the electrolytic cell itself is position 4, available as three separate SKUs (DES2C15REP, DES2C25REP, or DES2C35REP) matched to the output tier of your unit; this is typically the most frequently replaced component as the titanium plates gradually lose efficiency over time. Surrounding the cell, the cell housing (position 6, SKU 16056SP) provides the main pipe-mounted body, while the cell locking ring (position 2, SKU 16058SP) secures the cell head in place and the O-ring at position 3 (SKU 403377SP) creates the pressure-tight seal at the cell head — a minor but critical part to replace whenever the cell is removed. The cell connection plug assembly at position 1 (SKU 33021SP) carries the electrical signal between the power supply lead and the cell electrodes; a damaged or corroded plug is a common cause of “no chlorine” faults that can be misdiagnosed as a failed cell. Flow protection is handled by the paddle flow switch at position 5 (SKU 16102-3SP), a three-section assembly that prevents the cell from energising unless water is moving through the housing. On the plumbing interface, the 63 mm barrel union assembly at position 7 (SKU 48722B-1SP) connects the cell housing into the pipe run and includes the barrel union nut. On the electronics side, the control box drives the LCD interface, manages chlorine output settings, monitors salt levels, and controls operating modes; it sits at position 10 with a dedicated SKU for each of the five model codes. The control box is powered via the power supply unit at position 8 and its associated lead at position 9 (SKU 403371SP), while the PCB assembly at position 11 and the LCD screen PCB at position 12 (SKU 33188SP) handle the user-facing display and logic functions. The control panel decal at position 13 (SKU 16047SP) completes the assembly and is worth replacing if the labelling has faded or been damaged by chemical vapour.

The most important variant decision on this diagram is at position 4, 8, 10, and 11, where the correct part depends entirely on which model you own. For position 4, the DES2-15E uses cell SKU DES2C15REP, the DES2-15EL and DES2-25E share SKU DES2C25REP, and the DES2-25EL and DES2-35E share SKU DES2C35REP — so the output tier and the low-salt designation both influence which cell applies. At position 8, the power supply splits into just two SKUs: SKU 33186SP covers the DES2-15E and DES2-15EL, whilst SKU 33187SP covers the DES2-25E, DES2-25EL, and DES2-35E. Positions 10 and 11 are the most granular: every single model code has its own control box SKU and its own PCB SKU, and fitting the wrong one risks incorrect salt-level readings, alarm behaviour, or damage to the electronics. Davey explicitly warns that non-genuine parts can cause serious damage to the EcoSalt 2’s internal electronics; only a genuine Davey part is designed and tested to work correctly with the power supply and cell. Where a position carries screws as part of the assembly — as with positions 8 and 12 — these fasteners are included in the listed SKU, so there is no need to source them separately; do confirm this in the individual product description before ordering additional hardware.
