This is the genuine Davey replacement stator and shell assembly (part no. 32355) for the Silensor SLL400 pool pump. The stator and shell form the core motor housing of the Silensor’s patented water-cooled motor system, enclosing the windings and channelling a small flow of pool water around the motor shell to suppress noise and dissipate heat. It is typically replaced when the motor has suffered winding failure, heat damage, or irreparable corrosion to the shell.

This assembly is designed specifically for the Davey Silensor SLL400 pump, including single-phase variants (SLL400, SLL400E CE-certified models for Europe) and the three-phase SLL4003F. It is not interchangeable with the stator and shell used on smaller Silensor models such as the SLS100/150/200 or SLL150, which use a different 75mm shell. Always verify the model designation on your pump’s data label before ordering.

The Silensor’s ultra-quiet operation — rated between 54 and 56 dBa — relies on precise fitment between the stator, shell, and water jacket. A genuine Davey assembly ensures the correct winding specification and shell dimensions are maintained, preserving motor efficiency and protecting the mechanical seal and bearings. Non-genuine alternatives risk vibration, premature bearing failure, and voiding any remaining warranty.

Replacement of the stator and shell is a workshop-level repair requiring Davey Silensor service spanners (parts 13810SP and 13810-1SP) to remove the case nuts, plus a bearing press and the appropriate bearing tool. The stator shell must be heated with a heat gun to allow the rotor to be removed and re-pressed correctly. This work should only be carried out by a qualified technician familiar with Davey Silensor servicing procedures.
