This is the genuine Davey replacement retaining strap that sits between the two collar clamps securing the electrolysis cell body on ProMatic ESR series salt water chlorinators. The two-hole strap holds the cell assembly firmly in position, maintaining a secure, leak-free connection between the cell body and its mounting collars during normal pool operation.

This part (Davey part number M12592) is a genuine spare for the Davey ProMatic MPS, ESR, and ESC salt water chlorinator range — a series designed for residential pools. Always verify your specific ProMatic model before ordering, as cell hardware parts are model-specific and interchanging with incompatible variants may result in a poor fit.

Using a genuine Davey strap ensures correct dimensions, material durability, and a proper fit with the OEM collar clamps and cell body. Aftermarket alternatives may not match the precise geometry of the ESR cell assembly, risking movement, vibration damage, or premature wear to surrounding components. Replacing a worn or cracked strap promptly keeps the cell securely mounted and protects the electrode plates inside.

Fitting this strap is straightforward: de-pressurise the system, remove the existing collar clamps, slide the new strap into position between the collars, and refit the clamps through the two fixing holes. It is recommended that installation is carried out by a qualified pool technician to ensure the cell assembly is torqued correctly and the system is leak-free before restart.
