This genuine Davey spare part (33133SP) is the complete probe calibration solution kit for the Davey ProMatic Lifeguard pool chemistry controller. It contains 4 pH calibration solutions, 3 ORP calibration solutions, and 1 TDS (salinity) calibration solution — everything needed to accurately calibrate all three probe types used by the Lifeguard system. Calibration is essential for ensuring the controller’s readings are precise and that dosing decisions are based on reliable data.

This calibration kit is designed for use with the Davey ProMatic Lifeguard controller (DPLG series, European models), which operates in conjunction with the Davey EcoSalt 2 salt chlorinator. It covers all three probe channels: pH, ORP (oxidation-reduction potential), and TDS/conductivity (salinity). If you own a ProMatic Lifeguard unit and need to recalibrate after probe replacement, seasonal start-up, or routine maintenance, this is the correct replacement kit.

Davey recommends checking probe calibration on a 3-monthly basis as part of preventive maintenance. The probes are consumable components that naturally deteriorate over time — the older they become, the more frequently recalibration is needed, and a full recalibration is required whenever a probe is replaced. The ORP probe should be soaked in its calibration solution for at least 10 minutes before calibrating, while the pH and TDS probes follow a simpler dip procedure guided by the Lifeguard controller’s on-screen menu.

Using genuine Davey calibration solutions ensures the reference values match the tolerances the ProMatic Lifeguard’s firmware is tuned to, preserving measurement accuracy for pH control, chlorine (ORP) management, and salt-level monitoring. Third-party solutions with different buffer concentrations can introduce calibration errors that affect automatic acid dosing and chlorine production decisions, potentially compromising water quality and equipment protection.
