Sta-Rite – Pump Drain Plug with O-Ring ¼” NPT (R357161)

This is the genuine Pentair/Sta-Rite replacement drain plug and O-ring set (part R357161) for pool and spa pumps. The ¼” NPT threaded plug seals the pump body’s drain port, preventing leaks during normal operation and allowing fast, controlled draining for winterisation or servicing. It is sold as a plug-and-O-ring kit, ensuring you have both components needed for a leak-free reinstallation.

Kompatybilność

This drain plug fits the Sta-Rite SuperMax (S5P1R) pump as well as the wider Pentair family including WhisperFlo, IntelliFlo/IntelliPro VS and SVRS, OptiFlo, and EQ-Series commercial plastic pool and spa pumps. Note that the SuperMax pump body has two drain ports, so two plugs and two O-rings are required per pump — order accordingly.

Dlaczego oryginalność ma znaczenie

As an OEM Pentair/Sta-Rite part, this plug is manufactured to exact thread tolerances and material specifications, ensuring a secure, watertight fit without risk of cross-threading or chemical degradation. Aftermarket plugs can fail to seat correctly, leading to slow leaks that go undetected until pump or motor damage occurs. A genuine replacement costs a fraction of the cost of repairing water-damaged equipment.

Instalacja

Hand-tighten the plug firmly into the drain port — no tools are typically required. Always fit the included O-ring before threading the plug in, and inspect the O-ring seat for debris or damage first. If the pump has been winterised or run dry, replace both the plug and O-ring together to guarantee a fresh, reliable seal when refilling the system.
