This AR13A mechanical seal is a precision-engineered replacement for pool, spa, and irrigation pump applications where the original seal has worn or begun to leak. With a bore diameter of 13 mm and an external diameter of 26 mm, it fits a wide range of centrifugal pump housings that specify the AR13A profile. The two-piece construction consists of a rotating assembly housed in a stainless-steel spring carrier and a stationary ceramic seat with a carbon-graphite sealing face, together forming a reliable barrier between the pump’s wet end and its motor bearing.

The carbon/ceramic face pairing resists corrosion from chlorinated pool water, fertiliser solutions, and light chemical dosing typical in greenhouse irrigation systems. The stainless-steel spring retainer maintains consistent axial load across the sealing faces throughout the service life, reducing the risk of weeping that develops when spring tension relaxes in inferior seals. Correct installation requires the shaft and seal housing bore to be clean, dry, and free of burrs; no adhesive is required, but solvent or food-grade grease on the rubber secondary seals eases fitting and protects the faces during start-up.
