Davey – EcoSalt 50mm Union O-Ring (Q5112)

This is the genuine Davey replacement O-ring for the 50mm barrel unions used on Davey EcoSalt salt chlorination systems. Measuring approximately 69 mm in outer diameter and 5 mm in cross-section, it seats inside the union nut to create a watertight seal at the cell inlet and outlet plumbing connections. It is also compatible with other Davey pool and spa equipment that uses the same 50mm coarse-thread union standard.

Compatibility

Designed for Davey EcoSalt salt chlorinators (including EcoSalt, EcoSalt 2, and EcoSalt REDOX series) using the 50mm EU barrel union (ref. 48722B-1SP). The Q5112 O-ring is also a component of the Davey Q5114BK-SET barrel union assembly kit. It suits any Davey pool or spa installation plumbed with the 50mm coarse-thread barrel union standard — always match the O-ring outer diameter (≈69 mm) against your existing union before ordering.

When to Replace

O-rings on pool plumbing unions typically flatten or degrade over time due to chemical exposure and thermal cycling. A persistent drip or weep at the union joint — even after tightening the lock nut — is the most common sign that the O-ring needs replacing. Davey’s own EcoSalt service guidance recommends removing the lock nut and inspecting the O-ring for debris, deformation, or damage whenever a union leak is detected.
