At just 5 inches wide, this Norsup stainless steel algae brush is purpose-built for precision scrubbing on concrete, plaster, and gunite pool surfaces — delivering the bristle stiffness needed to dislodge stubborn algae colonies that softer nylon brushes simply cannot shift. The compact head dimensions make it the go-to detail brush for corners, stair treads, ladder anchors, and any recessed area where algae tends to take hold but larger brushes cannot reach.

Stainless steel bristles penetrate the porous texture of concrete and plaster finishes, mechanically breaking apart algae, biofilm, calcium scale, and embedded staining. This type of aggressive mechanical removal is recommended before applying shock or algaecide treatments, allowing chemistry to work on any remaining root growth rather than surface debris. The brush is strictly for concrete, gunite, and plaster pools — it must not be used on vinyl liners or fibreglass shells, where stainless bristles would cause surface damage.

The 5-inch format is specifically designed for targeted spot-cleaning rather than broad wall sweeping, making it an ideal companion to a wider wall brush in any maintenance kit. It fits standard 1.25-inch telescopic pool poles (sold separately) and can also be wielded by hand for close-up scrubbing on steps and tile lines. The corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction holds up under continuous exposure to chlorinated water and pool chemicals without losing bristle stiffness over time.
