Rated to 30 bar and 120 °C, this large-bore 2½” (DN 65) male-thread-to-63 mm hose tail adaptor is one of the most capable fittings in the Profec brass range. At 80 mm in body length, it provides a generous hose engagement that suits the high-flow pipework found in commercial pool plant rooms, water treatment systems, and industrial pump circuits. The 65 mm spanner flat allows confident torquing without risk of slippage during installation.

Machined from solid brass, the fitting resists corrosion in both chlorinated pool water and broader process-water applications. The 30 bar working-pressure rating — far exceeding typical pool plant-room demands — gives substantial safety margin, while the 120 °C temperature ceiling makes it equally at home in heated circuits such as heat-pump return lines or solar thermal loops. Brass also provides the rigidity needed at this large bore size to prevent hose-pull distortion under line pressure.

The 2½” BSP male thread engages directly into female-threaded pump flanges, filter tank ports, manifold blocks, or valve bodies of matching size — no reducer required at this connection point. The 63 mm hose tail end accepts heavy-duty reinforced hose of the same internal diameter; once clamped, the barbed profile grips the hose securely under surge and vacuum conditions. The 65 mm spanner flat is sized for a standard large-bore pipe wrench or open-ended spanner, keeping installation straightforward even in confined plant rooms.

A 2½” × 63 mm fitting is typically specified for commercial pools, large public facilities, or high-throughput semi-public pools where pump flow rates demand pipework of 63 mm or greater. It is equally suitable for industrial water circuits, agricultural irrigation headers, and process-water systems. For standard domestic pools (up to roughly 100 m³) a smaller bore size is normally appropriate; this adaptor is the right choice when your pipework design calls for 63 mm hose as the main circulation line.
