The Bosta YDK-25-6 is a genuine 25W single-phase AC fan motor designed for use in pool heat pumps and compatible HVAC units. It drives the evaporator fan that circulates air across the heat exchanger, making it a critical component for efficient heat exchange and overall heating performance. This is the OEM-specification replacement motor sold directly by Bosta.

The YDK-25-6 is an axial fan motor used across a range of pool heat pump units that call for a 25W, 220V/50Hz replacement motor in the YDK series. Always cross-reference your heat pump’s parts list or serial plate to confirm this is the correct motor variant before ordering — closely related models such as the YDK35-6 (35W) exist and are not interchangeable.

Sourcing your fan motor directly from Bosta ensures you receive the correct OEM-specification part, matched to your unit’s electrical and mechanical tolerances. A correctly rated motor protects the heat pump’s refrigerant circuit from overheating or under-ventilation, and supports the longevity of the compressor and heat exchanger. Aftermarket motors may differ in shaft dimensions, rotation direction, or capacitor rating.

Installation involves working inside the heat pump’s electrical enclosure and handling mains-voltage wiring. It is strongly recommended that a qualified pool technician or electrician carry out the replacement. Ensure the unit is fully isolated from mains power before beginning work, and verify the rotation direction and capacitor value match your existing motor.
