This is the genuine Maytronics replacement wheel hub bushing (buje rueda) for the Dolphin Cainan 1 robotic pool cleaner. The bushing seats inside the drive and idler wheel hubs, providing the low-friction bearing surface that allows each wheel to rotate smoothly around its axle during every cleaning cycle.

The wheel hub bushing acts as the interface between the rotating wheel and its fixed axle. By absorbing rotational load and reducing metal-on-plastic contact, it keeps the drive wheels turning freely and maintains the consistent traction the robot needs to navigate pool floors and walls. Two bushings are typically required per wheel assembly — one on each side of the hub — so check your wheel count before ordering.

Worn or cracked hub bushings cause noticeable wobble in the wheels, audible squeaking or grinding during operation, and uneven or erratic tracking across the pool surface. If the robot veers to one side, stalls on slopes, or leaves uncleaned strips, degraded wheel bushings are a common root cause worth inspecting first.

This part is listed for the Maytronics Dolphin Cainan 1. The same bushing (part 9983114) is a high-cross-reference component used across a wide range of Dolphin robotic cleaners, including the S50, S200, S300, S400, Active series, Cayman, Quantum, Triton PS, Proteus DX3/DX4/DX5i, M400, M600, Mercury, Echo, Escape, and many more. Always verify against your robot’s parts diagram before ordering.

Aftermarket bushings are frequently made from inferior plastics that deform under pool chemistry and continuous mechanical load, accelerating wheel wear and potentially damaging axles. Genuine Maytronics bushings are manufactured to the exact dimensional tolerances of the original design, ensuring correct fit, long service life, and protection of your robot’s warranty status.
