This is the genuine Maytronics quick water discharge valve (rapid drain flap) for the Dolphin Cainan 1 and a wide range of compatible Dolphin robotic pool cleaners. The flap is a spring-loaded, one-way valve that opens automatically when the robot is lifted from the pool, releasing the trapped internal water volume in seconds rather than letting it pour out slowly through the filtration chamber.

The valve is mounted on the lower rear area of the robot body. When the cleaner is submerged it seals shut under water pressure, keeping flow directed through the filtration system. The moment the robot breaks the surface and is lifted clear, the internal water pressure drops and the flap opens, expelling residual water rapidly so the unit is lighter and easier to handle poolside and debris is not washed back into the pool.

Part number 9983024 fits a broad range of Dolphin robotic cleaners, including the Cainan 1, E10, E20, E25, S100, Avalon 20, Avalon 25, Carrera 20, Carrera 25, Blue Maxi 10, Blue Maxi 20, Blue Maxi 25, EX10, Energy C, Fon 20, Formula 20, Hammer, PoolStyle, PoolStyle Plus, Racer Cross Over, Racer Cross Over Lite, Seamaster AG, Seamaster CL, SX 10, SX 20, T15, T25, and Zenit ZFun.

If the robot feels unusually heavy when lifted from the pool, takes a long time to drain, or water streams out through the filter lid rather than via the rear vent, the discharge valve flap is likely cracked, deformed, or no longer seating correctly. A failed flap can also allow debris-laden water to back-flush into the pool during removal, defeating the purpose of the filtration cycle.

Aftermarket flap valves are frequently made from lower-grade elastomers that stiffen or warp with prolonged chlorine and UV exposure, causing the valve to stick open or closed. The genuine Maytronics part is manufactured to the exact geometry and material specification of the original, ensuring a reliable watertight seal during cleaning and instantaneous release on extraction every time.
