This genuine Davey spare parts kit bundles the “new generation” impeller, neck ring, and mechanical seal into a single assembly for the Davey StarFlo DSF250-1 pool pump. Together these three components form the hydraulic and sealing heart of the pump, responsible for generating water flow and preventing leaks at the motor shaft. Replacing all three at once restores full pumping performance and ensures correct sealing geometry between mating parts.

This kit is designed specifically for the Davey StarFlo DSF250-1 single-phase pool pump (1.2 hp / 870 W). It is not interchangeable with other StarFlo models such as the DSF150, DSF200, DSF300, or DSF420 — each of which has its own dedicated impeller and seal assembly. Always verify your pump model label before ordering.

The mechanical seal is the component most commonly requiring replacement: dry running, aggressive water chemistry, or normal wear over time can cause it to leak, which may appear as water weeping from beneath the pump motor. The impeller and neck ring are typically renewed at the same service interval to restore optimal flow performance and ensure all mating surfaces align correctly. Replacing this kit as a complete set avoids mismatched wear between components.

Genuine Davey parts are manufactured to the exact tolerances of the original pump design, ensuring correct hydraulic balance, shaft clearance, and seal face contact. Aftermarket alternatives may differ subtly in dimension or material, risking premature failure or voiding any remaining pump warranty. This “new generation” impeller design reflects Davey’s updated specification for improved durability and performance in the DSF250-1.
