VDL PVC-U Ball Valve DN90 – Double-Union Glue Socket, 10 bar, Type DIL

The VDL DIL series ball valve is a full-bore, double-union PVC-U shutoff valve designed for demanding water management applications including swimming pool plant rooms, irrigation mains, and industrial process pipework. With a nominal diameter of DN90 (90 mm glue socket connections on both ends), this valve delivers quarter-turn on/off control at working pressures up to 10 bar across a service temperature range of 0 °C to 60 °C. The double-union body design allows the valve to be removed from the pipeline for inspection or replacement without disturbing adjacent pipework, making it the preferred choice for professional installers.

The valve body and union nuts are moulded in grey PVC-U (unplasticised polyvinyl chloride), offering excellent resistance to chlorinated water, mild acids, and the chemical dosing agents commonly used in pool and irrigation systems. Internal sealing is provided by EPDM seats and O-rings, which maintain a reliable bubble-tight seal and are compatible with chlorine, bromine, and ozone-treated water. The orange lever handle provides clear visual indication of valve position — lever in line with the pipe axis means open; perpendicular means closed — and can be locked in either position with an optional padlock (not included).

Compatibiliteit

This valve is designed for direct solvent-cement bonding to PVC-U pressure pipe with a 90 mm outside diameter conforming to DIN 8061/8062 or ISO 1452. It is suitable for cold and temperate potable water systems, swimming pool circulation and backwash lines, drip and overhead irrigation mains, and chemical dosing circuits handling media compatible with PVC-U and EPDM. It is not suitable for hot-water systems above 60 °C, for use with organic solvents, or for conveying compressed gases.
