This is the genuine Fluidra replacement manifold assembly designed for the BWS2 1050–1200 series sand filters. Situated at the base of the filter tank, the manifold is the central hub from which lateral arms radiate outward, collecting filtered water and directing it back to the pool while keeping sand and debris contained inside the tank. Replacing a cracked or damaged manifold assembly restores correct water flow, filtration efficiency, and system pressure.

How It Works

In a sand filter, water percolates down through the sand bed and is collected at the bottom by the manifold and its lateral arms. The lateral arms feature fine slots that allow clean, filtered water to pass through while blocking sand particles from re-entering the return line. A damaged or broken manifold can cause sand to bypass the filter media and return to the pool, or result in loss of pressure — both clear signs that this assembly needs to be replaced.

This manifold assembly is the correct OEM replacement part for the Fluidra (AstralPool) BWS2 sand filter in the Ø1050 and Ø1200 tank sizes. Installation
