This is the genuine Fluidra filling cap designed to fit over the internal diffuser tube of the Atlas sand filter during the sand-loading procedure. It acts as a temporary protective plug — blocking the open top of the diffuser so that sand poured into the filter vessel cannot enter and damage the internal pipework or laterals. Compatible with diffuser tubes in both 2″ and 2½” sizes, it covers the full Atlas filter range.

Compatibility

This filling cap is a dedicated spare part for the Fluidra Atlas reinforced polyester sand filter series, which is available in tank diameters from Ø500 mm to Ø900 mm. It fits diffuser tubes with a 2″ or 2½” connection. If you are unsure of your diffuser tube size, consult the exploded-view diagram for your specific Atlas filter model before ordering.

Installation

Once loading is complete, remove the filling cap and reassemble the diffuser tube in reverse order, ensuring all sealing surfaces are clean and free of sand grains before closing the filter.
