AstralPool – Pre-filter Basket for Polyester Pre-filter 60L (10886)

This is the genuine AstralPool replacement basket for the Polyester Pre-filter 60L (parent unit SKU 10886), corresponding to position 6 in the official Fluidra exploded view. The basket sits inside the pre-filter housing and retains coarse solid waste — leaves, hair, and other debris — preventing it from entering the pump and causing blockages or impeller damage.

The AstralPool Polyester Pre-filter 60L is a heavy-duty, large-capacity strainer designed for commercial and public pool installations. Replacing a worn or damaged basket promptly keeps the pre-filter performing at full capacity and protects the pump downstream.

Compatibiliteit

This basket is designed exclusively for the AstralPool Polyester Pre-filter 60L (SKU 10886). The 60L pre-filter unit features DIN-2501 flanged connections, a hoop-type clamp closure, and a maximum working pressure of 1.5 bar — making it suited to high-flow public pool and commercial filtration systems. Always verify your pre-filter’s model number before ordering to ensure a precise fit.

Waarom authenticiteit belangrijk is

As an official AstralPool spare part sourced directly from Fluidra, this basket is manufactured to the exact tolerances of the original, ensuring a secure seat inside the housing and reliable debris retention. Non-genuine alternatives may not seat correctly, allowing debris to bypass the basket and reach the pump impeller. Using the genuine part also keeps your equipment warranty intact.

Installatie

Replacing the basket is a straightforward maintenance task: release the hoop-type clamp, lift the pre-filter lid, remove the old basket, and drop in the new one. No special tools are required for the basket swap itself, but working on commercial pool pipework should always be carried out with the pump isolated and the system depressurised. Professional installation is recommended for first-time technicians.
