AstralPool – Pan Head Self-Tapping Screw 3.5×13 mm (DIN 7981) – Maxim VS 3.5 HP Pump

This is the genuine AstralPool OEM replacement pan head self-tapping screw (3.5 mm × 13 mm, DIN 7981 / ISO 7049) for the Maxim VS 3.5 HP centrifugal pool pump. It occupies position 33 in the official Fluidra exploded-view diagram and is used to secure pump body panels and ancillary components during assembly. Sourcing the correct OEM fastener ensures proper thread engagement and torque retention in the pump’s technical-plastic housing.

Compatibiliteit

This screw is specified for the AstralPool Maxim VS 3.5 HP pump (parent SKU 73773). The Maxim VS is a high-performance variable-speed centrifugal pump built for public and large private swimming pools, featuring a polypropylene diffuser body and Luranyl® impeller. Always verify the exploded-view position number (33) against your pump’s parts diagram before ordering to confirm fitment.

Waarom authenticiteit belangrijk is

Using the factory-specified DIN 7981 screw guarantees the correct thread form, head geometry, and material grade for the application — preventing stripped housings or premature fastener failure in a continuously wet pump environment. Genuine AstralPool parts are manufactured to the same tolerances as the original assembly, keeping your pump running reliably and maintaining any applicable warranty.

Installatie

The pan head self-tapping design cuts its own thread on installation into a pre-drilled hole in the pump’s plastic casing. Use the correct Phillips (PH) driver and apply steady, controlled torque — over-tightening can damage the plastic substrate. If replacing a damaged screw, inspect the surrounding housing material for cracks before reassembly.
