How It Works

The GenSalt OT 10 R passes a low-voltage electrical current through titanium-plate electrodes inside the electrolysis cell. As salted pool water flows through the cell, free chlorine is generated on demand. An automatic polarity-reversal cycle keeps the electrodes self-cleaning, protecting cell life and maintaining consistent chlorine output throughout the swimming season.

Compatibility & Installation

The GenSalt OT 10 R is compatible with rigid PVC pipework in Ø50 mm, Ø63 mm, or 1½” diameters, and installs on the return line after the filtration system using the patented Quick Fix system — no specialist tools required. The cell must be mounted horizontally, with water flow direction aligned from the electrical connections end. For pools larger than 40 m³, Fluidra’s OT 18 or OT 25 models should be considered instead.
