This is the genuine AstralPool replacement vertical filter grid (reference FG-1002) for the 24–60 sq ft Yellow Diatomaceous Earth (DE) filter series. Occupying position 17 in the official Fluidra exploded view, it is the internal filtration element that holds the diatomaceous earth powder coating, enabling the filter to capture debris and contaminants from pool water with exceptional precision. Replacing worn or damaged grids promptly restores your DE filter to full performance.

The vertical grid sits inside the filter tank and acts as the structural support for a coating of diatomaceous earth powder. Pool water passes through this powder-coated fabric, trapping particles and impurities before clean water returns to the pool. Without an intact, correctly fitted grid, filtration efficiency drops rapidly and filter pressure can rise sharply.

This grid is designed for the AstralPool 24–60 Yellow DE Filter range (parent model FDE24) and corresponds to position 17 in the Fluidra exploded-view diagram. Always cross-reference your filter model and exploded-view position before ordering to ensure a correct fit. A full grid set for a 24 sq ft DE filter typically requires multiple individual grids.

Genuine AstralPool parts are manufactured to the exact dimensional and material tolerances of the original equipment, ensuring a reliable seal, consistent filtration surface area, and long service life. Aftermarket grids may differ in fabric weave density or frame dimensions, risking premature failure or reduced water clarity.
