Rated to a full 16 bar working pressure, this Jason 50 mm polypropylene compression elbow delivers a sharp, leak-free 90° change of direction in PE pipework — the size most commonly used for pool plant room mains, filter circuits, and heat-pump feeds. The black body and blue compression nut are the instantly recognisable hallmark of the Jason range, and the fitting carries simultaneous DVGW, KIWA, WRAS, and SVGW approvals, confirming independent certification for drinking-water contact across Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland.

Holding four of Europe’s most demanding certification marks in a single fitting is no small matter. DVGW governs German gas and water installations, KIWA covers Dutch water-system requirements, WRAS meets the UK Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations, and SVGW addresses Swiss water and industrial standards. Together they confirm that the polypropylene compound, NBR seals, and dimensional tolerances have all passed independent hygiene and pressure testing — a genuine advantage when local authority or building control sign-off is required for a pool plant room.

The tool-free compression mechanism grips standard PE pipe — including LDPE, PE80, and PE100 — without solvent cement or heat fusion equipment. The nut can be tightened by hand to form an initial seal and then snugged with a spanner; critically, the joint is fully demountable, so the fitting can be repositioned or reused if the pipework layout changes during commissioning. At 50 mm bore this elbow suits the flow demands of most residential and light-commercial pool installations.

Moulded in polypropylene, the body resists chlorinated water, common pool chemicals, and modest UV exposure, making it equally at home above ground in a plant room or installed in a duct or shallow trench. The 16 bar pressure rating gives a generous safety margin over the typical operating pressures of pool circulation pumps, and no additional pipe insulation or bedding material is required for below-ground use.
