This is the genuine Davey floating neck ring (part number 13569) designed for the full Davey Silensor and SilensorPro pump range, covering both SLS and SLL model variants. Positioned around the pump shaft, the floating neck ring forms a critical part of the mechanical seal protection system, guarding the seal against debris ingress and premature wear. It is typically replaced during routine seal servicing or whenever signs of wear, leakage, or debris contamination around the seal area are detected.

The floating neck ring is a core component of the Davey Silensor’s patented seal protection system. By excluding debris from the mechanical seal area, it significantly reduces friction and wear on the seal, extending its service life and reducing the frequency of maintenance interventions. Neglecting a worn or damaged neck ring can accelerate mechanical seal failure, leading to water leaks and costly pump downtime.

This neck ring fits the Davey Silensor SLS and SLL pump families, including models such as SLS100, SLS150, SLS200, SLS300, SLL150, SLL200, SLL300, SLL400, and their CE-suffix European variants, as well as the SilensorPro VSD series. Always verify your pump’s model number on the data label before ordering.

When fitting or re-seating the neck ring, use a silicone-based lubricant such as Hydro Slip on any PVC threads for a secure, leak-free fit. Avoid petroleum-based products such as Vaseline, which can cause rubber components to swell and deform. Davey Silensor service spanners (parts 13810SP and 13810-1SP) are required to access the pump casing during installation, and professional servicing is recommended for best results.
