KLX Rx control module type AquaRite NG & KLX

This Rx (Redox/ORP) control module adds automatic chlorine-production regulation to AquaRite NG and Kripsol KLX salt electrolysis systems — letting the chlorinator respond to the pool’s actual disinfectant demand rather than running on a fixed percentage. By continuously measuring the oxidation-reduction potential of the water, the module adjusts electrolysis output in real time, helping to extend electrolytic cell life and keep chlorine levels consistently within the safe bathing range.

Redox-based chlorine automation

Once installed, the module feeds live ORP readings directly into the chlorinator’s control board, which then raises or lowers chlorine production automatically. This closed-loop approach prevents both over- and under-chlorination — particularly valuable in pools with variable bather loads, high UV exposure, or fluctuating temperatures — and reduces unnecessary wear on the electrolytic cell.

Compatibility across the Hayward ecosystem

The module is designed for the AquaRite NG New Generation and Kripsol KLX platform, both manufactured by Hayward, and shares electronics with the broader Hayward / Sugar Valley / SugarValley Hidrolife control family. This means installers already familiar with AquaRite Flo Advanced, Aquarite Plus, or KLX systems will find the wiring and menu integration straightforward.

Installation & integration

The Rx module plugs into the dedicated expansion port on the chlorinator’s main control board — fitting directly alongside optional pH and Wi-Fi modules where all three are required. No separate power supply or transformer is needed, and the Redox set point is programmed directly from the chlorinator’s existing display panel, keeping the poolside equipment footprint compact.
