Hanna Instruments pH electrode for HI98100 (HI1271)

The HI1271 is a replacement pH electrode for the Hanna Instruments HI98100 pH tester. It is the measuring element that contacts the water sample and feeds the pH signal to the meter’s electronics. Fitting a fresh electrode restores measurement accuracy on a tester whose readings have started to drift or respond slowly.

A cosa si adatta

This electrode is specified as the replacement probe for the Hanna Instruments HI98100 pH tester. It is not a universal pH probe and should not be substituted into other meter families unless Hanna lists it as compatible. Check the model number printed on your tester body before ordering.

Montaggio dell'elettrodo

The old electrode is unscrewed or unclipped from the base of the tester and the new one seated in its place, following the instruction sheet supplied with the meter. Make sure the connection is clean and dry before assembly, then rinse the new electrode with clean water. Recalibrate the tester with fresh pH buffer solutions immediately after replacement.

Durata di vita

pH electrodes are consumable items and lose sensitivity over time regardless of how carefully they are used. Typical indicators for replacement are calibration failure, sluggish response, unstable readings or a visibly dried-out or damaged glass bulb. Storing the electrode wet in storage solution between uses extends its working life considerably.

Supplied as a single electrode only; buffer solutions, storage solution and the HI98100 meter itself are ordered separately. Pool operators running regular pH checks often keep one spare electrode on the shelf to avoid downtime. Order the electrode by SKU HI1271 to be sure of the correct part.
