AstralPool – Mechanical Seal for Alaska Basic Pump

This is the genuine AstralPool replacement mechanical seal for the Alaska Basic pool pump (parent SKU 69386). The mechanical seal sits between the pump’s wet end and motor, forming a watertight barrier around the impeller shaft to prevent water from leaking into the motor housing. Replacing a worn or damaged seal promptly protects the motor from water ingress and extends the working life of your pump.

Compatibilità

This part is designed specifically for the AstralPool Alaska Basic pump range (parent SKU 69386, covering models 69383–69387). It corresponds to position 16 in the official Fluidra exploded-view diagram for this pump. Always cross-reference your pump’s model number and the exploded-view diagram before ordering to ensure an exact fit.

Perché l'originale conta

As an original AstralPool part manufactured to Fluidra’s exact tolerances, this mechanical seal is engineered to match the shaft diameter, face materials and spring tension of the Alaska Basic pump precisely. Aftermarket seals may differ in these critical dimensions, leading to premature leaks, motor damage, or voided warranty. Fitting a genuine part gives you confidence in seal integrity from the first start-up.

Installazione

Mechanical seal replacement requires draining the pump, removing the motor and wet-end assembly, and pressing the seal faces onto the shaft and into the seal housing in the correct orientation. Running the pump dry even briefly after installation can irreversibly damage the new seal, so ensure the pump is fully primed before restarting. Professional installation by a qualified pool technician is strongly recommended.
