This is the genuine AstralPool self-cleaning assembly (position 14 in the official Fluidra exploded view) designed specifically for the D-150 model within the Salt Electrolysis and pH Control D-65/300 EX/Plus range. It is a factory-matched replacement part that restores the electrode self-cleaning function, keeping the electrolytic cell free of calcium and mineral deposits. Maintaining this mechanism in good working order is essential for consistent chlorine output and long cell life.

This self-cleaning assembly is engineered exclusively for the AstralPool Salt Electrolysis and pH Control D-65/300 EX/Plus range, specifically the D-150 EX/Plus model (parent SKU 35255). It is not interchangeable with other chlorinator families. Always cross-reference your unit’s model label and the official Fluidra exploded diagram before ordering.

AstralPool’s EX electrode platform relies on precise polarity-reversal timing and component tolerances to achieve effective self-cleaning. Using a genuine Fluidra-sourced part ensures the assembly integrates correctly with the control electronics, delivers the expected cleaning cycle performance, and keeps your warranty intact. Third-party alternatives may not match the electrical or mechanical specifications of the D-150 EX/Plus cell.

Replacement should be carried out by a qualified pool technician familiar with salt electrolysis systems. Isolate the unit from mains power before disassembly, and follow the official Fluidra exploded view (position 14) to locate and seat the assembly correctly. After refitting, verify that the self-cleaning cycle activates normally during the first filtration run.
