This is a genuine Davey spare part (ref. 5444REG) for the Regul’Matic salt chlorination control system. It is a threaded reducer fitting designed to house and position a pH or ORP probe at the correct 7 cm immersion depth inside the pool’s return pipework, ensuring accurate water-quality readings.

The Regul’Matic controller relies on properly seated probes to regulate chlorine production and pH levels in real time. A damaged, cracked, or leaking probe holder must be replaced promptly to maintain a watertight seal and correct probe positioning — both of which are critical for reliable water chemistry control.

This probe holder reducer is a Davey Regul’Matic series spare part. It is intended for Regul’Matic pool water-quality controllers that accept threaded probe fittings in the hydraulic circuit. Always cross-reference the Davey part number 5444REG against your unit’s documentation or exploded-view diagram before ordering to confirm fitment with your specific Regul’Matic variant.

Using an OEM Davey part guarantees the correct thread type, material grade, and insertion depth (7 cm) specified for the Regul’Matic system. An ill-fitting or non-genuine holder can cause probe misalignment, inaccurate sensor readings, or pipe leaks — potentially leading to over- or under-chlorination of your pool water.

The reducer fitting threads into a tee or port on the return pipework and accepts the probe body. Ensure the filtration system is off and the line is depressurised before replacing this part. We recommend having a qualified pool technician carry out the installation to ensure a leak-free result and correct probe depth.
