This is a genuine Davey OEM silicone tube (part M1196C) designed to connect and seal the electrolysis cell assembly on Davey ProMatic salt water chlorinators. The 14 cm silicone tube routes and seals internal connections within the cell housing, maintaining a watertight, chemically resistant link that is essential for correct chlorine production. It is a wear part that should be inspected and replaced whenever the cell is serviced or when cracking, softening, or leaks are detected.

This tube is a spare part for the Davey ProMatic MPS, ESR, and ESC series salt water chlorinators, including ESC 16, ESC 24, ESC 36, and ESC 48 models. Always cross-reference your unit’s model number and the Davey part number M1196C before ordering to confirm fitment.

Silicone compounds vary widely in their resistance to pool chemicals, salt water, and the heat generated during electrolysis. A genuine Davey part guarantees the correct durometer, length, and chemical grade, protecting your cell from premature failure. Please note that Davey has flagged this part as available while stock lasts, making it an end-of-life component — order promptly to avoid future availability issues.

Installation requires isolating power to the chlorinator and the pump before removing the cell from the pipework. The tube should be seated fully and inspected for any kinking or inadequate seal before recommissioning. Professional installation or servicing by a qualified pool technician is recommended to avoid voiding the unit’s warranty.
