The Davey M1714 is a genuine OEM replacement transformer for the ProMatic ESC 16 and ESC 16 pH (ESC16Ph) salt water chlorinator control units — part of the wider ProMatic MPS/ESR/ESC series. The transformer converts mains voltage to the low voltage required by the controller’s internal electronics, making it the heart of the power supply stage. It is typically replaced when the control unit shows no display or no output despite good mains power, or after a voltage spike or surge has damaged the internal electronics.

This transformer is designed specifically for the Davey ProMatic ESC 16 and ESC 16 pH controller units within the ProMatic MPS/ESR/ESC chlorinator range. It is not interchangeable with transformers from other output-size models in the ESC series (such as the ESC 24, ESC 36, or ESC 48), nor with the ESR or BMSC series transformers, which carry separate Davey part numbers. Always confirm your exact controller model before ordering.

The ProMatic control unit is a precision low-voltage system; using an incorrect or non-OEM transformer risks mismatched output voltages, damage to the PCB, and potential safety hazards in a poolside environment. As a genuine Davey Water Products spare part, the M1714 is manufactured to the original specification, ensuring correct voltage output and safe, reliable operation of your chlorinator. Please note this part is supplied while stocks last and may not be reordered once depleted.

Transformer replacement involves working inside a mains-connected enclosure and must be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician or authorised pool technician. Always isolate the unit completely from the mains supply before opening the controller housing. Handle all internal components with care to avoid personal injury or damage to surrounding circuitry.
