This is the genuine Fluidra Astralpool replacement diffuser assembly for the Ø380 mm Cantabric-family sand filter tank. Fitted at the top of the filter vessel, the diffuser spreads incoming pool water evenly across the entire sand bed, preventing the channelling that would allow unfiltered water to bypass the media and pass straight through to the pool. The assembly includes the plastic diffuser body and inlet fitting, supplying everything needed for a complete, like-for-like replacement.

Designed and sized specifically for the Ø380 mm Cantabric sand filter tank manufactured by Astralpool (Fluidra). The Cantabric range is available in multiple diameters; always verify your filter’s tank diameter before ordering, as diffusers are not interchangeable between sizes. This part is not compatible with Cantabric models of Ø400 mm or larger.

An ill-fitting or non-genuine diffuser can create uneven flow across the sand bed, reducing filtration efficiency and shortening sand life. As an original Fluidra Astralpool part, this assembly is manufactured to the exact tolerances of the Cantabric tank, ensuring a precise seal and consistent water distribution for reliable, long-term filtration performance.

Replacement is straightforward for a competent pool technician: isolate the pump, remove the multiport valve, lift out the worn diffuser, and seat the new assembly before reloading sand to the correct shoulder level and refitting the valve. Always ensure the tank opening is clear of sand debris before installing the new part.
