This is the genuine OEM nut and stud bolt that forms part of the hinged lid-locking screw assembly on the Kripsol Koral and Mini Kapri pool pump prefilter cover. The stud bolt anchors into the pump body and the nut clamps the transparent polycarbonate lid down onto its O-ring seat to maintain a pressure-tight seal. Sold as a single unit, so order the quantity you need if replacing more than one fastener.

The Koral series closes its prefilter lid using hinged cover screws built around stainless steel stud bolts and captive nuts. When you tighten the nut, it draws the lid squarely against the body O-ring, preventing air ingress and pressure loss. A loose, stripped, or corroded fastener in this assembly is enough to cause the pump to lose prime or leak around the lid.

This fastener is confirmed for the Kripsol Koral KS and KSE pump range and the Mini Kapri family. The Koral KS / KSE series covers size variants 33, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, and 300. Cross-reference your pump’s body reference label before ordering if you own a model outside the Koral / Kapri family, as the stud thread and nut profile differ between pump ranges.

Replace this fastener when you find the nut no longer tightens fully, when the stud bolt threads are visibly stripped or corroded, or when the lid persistently weeps water or lets air into the suction side despite a fresh O-ring. Because the fastener is in constant wet-dry cycling, thread wear is the most common failure mode rather than sudden breakage.

Isolate the pump from power and close the isolation valves before you start. Unscrew and remove the old stud bolt from the pump body — a flat-blade screwdriver in the stud slot is normally sufficient. Thread the replacement stud in by hand until it seats, then fit the new nut and tighten finger-tight before applying a final quarter-turn. Do not over-torque: the mating body is thermoplastic and the lid is polycarbonate, so clamping force should compress the O-ring evenly without distorting the lid.
