This page covers the complete exploded-view diagram and numbered bill of materials for the Davey BMSC8 salt-water chlorinator, sold under factory references M0808CE et M0808FRA. The EcoSalt BMSC series earned a strong reputation for reliability and ease of operation, gaining a notable share of the European swimming pool market during the early years of salt electrolysis. Although the BMSC8 was last sold in 2021, genuine spare parts remain available here, making it straightforward to keep an existing installation running. Work through the diagram below and you will identify your numbered part and its corresponding SKU within minutes.

Every numbered call-out printed on the diagram corresponds directly to a row in the parts list beneath it — the position number in the diagram and the position number in the table are always the same. Start by locating the area of the unit that concerns you (for example, the enclosure, the electrical section, or the hydraulic connections), then read off the call-out number for the component you need. Take that number to the parts table, match it to the row, and note the SKU in the right-hand column — that is the reference you add to your basket. Bear in mind that the same position number can appear on more than one place in a drawing when a single fastener type or common fitting is used throughout; always check the written description alongside the number to confirm you have the right item. The most important trap on this particular diagram is position 14, which covers two different union heads: always read the description as well as the number before ordering. If you are uncertain whether a part belongs to the M0808CE variant or the M0808FRA variant, compare the factory reference printed on your unit’s label against the two references listed above, as certain components — particularly the cell — differ between them.

The BMSC8 is built around three broad sub-assemblies: the enclosure, the electronics, and the hydraulics. The enclosure consists of a Panneau avant (pos. 3, SKU M1556), a Plaque de recouvrement (pos. 1, SKU M1562), a hinged Porte (pos. 2, SKU M1561), a Panneau Supérieur (pos. 4, SKU M1563), and a Panneau inférieur (pos. 5, SKU M1507) — these five moulded parts form the weatherproof housing that protects the internal electrics. Inside the enclosure, the electronics section includes the main Carte électronique (pos. 6, SKU M11208EUSP), qui régule la production de chlore; le Transformateur (pos. 11, SKU M1730), which steps down the mains supply to the voltage required by the cell; a Fusible (pos. 8, SKU M2901) and its dedicated Porte-fusible (pos. 9, SKU M2953) pour la protection contre les surintensités; a Filtre (pos. 10, SKU 14756PG) pour le filtrage électrique ; et l’interface utilisateur Bouton de contrôle du chlore (pos. 7, SKU M1521) that sets the output level. The BMSC series was easily recognisable by its inverted U-shaped cell, and on this unit the Cellule (pos. 12, SKU M0685FRA) is the consumable component most likely to require periodic replacement. The hydraulic connection hardware — Écrous-unions (pos. 13, SKU M8228) and the appropriate Tête d'union (pos. 14) — secures the cell inline with the pool pipework and is the first place to inspect if you notice a water leak at the cell.

Position 14 is the one position on this diagram that carries two distinct variants, and selecting the wrong one is the single most common ordering mistake. The Tête d'union Euro (pos. 14, SKU M8229E) is designed for pipe with an internal diameter of 63 mm, which is the standard dimension used across much of continental Europe, while the Tête d'union (pos. 14, SKU M8229) suits pipe with an internal diameter of 60 mm, more typical of older or non-metric installations. To identify which you need, measure the internal diameter of your existing pipe or union bore before ordering — even a 3 mm difference will result in a union that either will not seat correctly or will leak under pressure. The two variants share the same position number in the diagram precisely because they are interchangeable within the same mounting point; only the bore size differs. If you are replacing both sides of the union simultaneously, ensure both new union heads carry the same SKU so the bore sizes match throughout.

Comment utiliser le schéma numéroté pour trouver votre pièce
