This is the genuine Davey front seal ring (part number 12848) for the Silensor and SilensorPro series of pool pumps. Seated at the drive end of the motor, it forms a critical barrier that protects the motor’s internal components from water ingress. It is a standard wear item that requires replacement whenever the motor is disassembled for bearing changes or motor servicing.

This front seal ring fits the full Davey Silensor range, including SLS and SLL series models (e.g. SLS100, SLS200, SLL150, SLL200, SLL400, SLL1503F, SLL4003F) as well as SilensorPro models (SP200BT, SP400BT), including CE-marked variants sold in Europe. Always verify your pump’s model number against Davey’s official spare parts diagram before ordering.

The front seal ring must be removed to access the rotor during a bearing change and should be replaced as a matter of course during reassembly. Davey’s own servicing instructions require the technician to remove the slinger, O-ring, and front sealing ring in sequence before extracting the rotor, then fit a new seal ring on rebuild. Replacing it at every motor service prevents water intrusion and extends motor life.

Using a genuine Davey replacement part ensures the correct material grade, dimensional tolerances, and sealing performance specified for these pumps. Non-genuine alternatives may not seat correctly in the motor housing, risking premature motor failure. For European pool professionals and service technicians, fitting genuine parts also supports warranty compliance and traceability.
