This is the genuine Davey 63mm union fitting (barrel union) designed for use with the Davey EcoSalt U-shape electrolytic cell, specified for European pipework installations. It forms a watertight, tool-friendly connection between the cell and the pool’s return pipework, making cell removal and reinstallation straightforward without cutting pipework.

This union fitting is designed for Davey EcoSalt systems fitted with the U-shape cell format — including the original EcoSalt and EcoSalt BMSC series (13 g/h, 20 g/h, and 26 g/h models). It is specified to the 63mm pipe diameter standard used across European pool installations. Always verify your existing pipework diameter and cell type before ordering, as EcoSalt2 in-line cell variants use a different union configuration.

Davey strongly recommends insisting on genuine replacement parts for all EcoSalt systems. Aftermarket fittings may not achieve a reliable seal against pool water pressure and chemical exposure, potentially causing leaks or voiding your system warranty. This part is sourced directly from Davey Water Products and distributed via Davey Europe, ensuring correct tolerances and material quality.

Always turn off the pool pump and EcoSalt power supply before disconnecting or reconnecting the cell. Use thread-seal tape on all threaded connections to ensure a watertight fit. The union design allows the cell to be removed for inspection or replacement without disturbing the surrounding pipework — a key maintenance advantage for technicians servicing EcoSalt installations.
