VDL PVC-U Stub Flange DN40 – 50 mm Glue Socket, Grey
This VDL stub flange in grey PVC-U provides a clean, pressure-rated transition between a plain-end pipe and a bolted flange assembly. The 50 mm glue socket end accepts standard PVC-U pipe for solvent-cement bonding, while the raised collar face mates precisely with a corresponding loose flange (backing ring) and flat-face gasket. The result is a leak-free, dismantlable joint suited to pool plant rooms, irrigation headers, and industrial water systems.
Manufactured from PVC-U (unplasticised polyvinyl chloride), the fitting offers excellent chemical resistance to chlorinated water, fertiliser solutions, and mild acids. The grey colour is UV-stable for exposed installations, and the stepped flange face with its concentric sealing grooves ensures positive gasket location under bolt load. Unlike metal stub flanges, there is no risk of corrosion or electrolytic attack in aggressive water conditions.

Designed for use with DN40 / 50 mm OD PVC-U pressure pipe conforming to ISO 1452 / EN 1452. Pairs with a matching DN40 loose flange (backing ring) in PVC-U, PP, or stainless steel, and a flat-face gasket (EPDM or NBR, customer-supplied). Bolt pattern follows the DN40 PN10/PN16 flange standard. Not suitable for CPVC, ABS, or metric pipe sizes other than 50 mm OD without verification of pipe outer diameter.
