The genuine Polaris PosiTrax® tire (W7230211) is a specialist replacement wheel tyre engineered specifically for smooth-finish pool surfaces. Its suction-cup tread pattern delivers significantly more grip than a standard Polaris tyre, allowing the cleaner to navigate walls, climb slopes and cover the entire pool floor without spinning out on slick surfaces.

Worn or incorrect tyres on a fiberglass or tiled pool can leave the cleaner circling helplessly on the bottom, missing walls entirely. Fitting the correct PosiTrax® tyre restores full pool coverage and wall-climbing performance.

Compatibilité

This tyre is designed for the Polaris Vac-Sweep 380 pressure-side pool cleaner (parent SKU W7320000). It is also compatible with the Polaris Vac-Sweep 180, 280 and 360 series. It is intended exclusively for fiberglass and fully tiled pool interiors — for plaster or pebble-finish pools, use the standard Polaris all-purpose tyre instead.

Aftermarket alternatives frequently use softer compounds that degrade faster or cup profiles that fail to seal against smooth pool surfaces, negating the traction benefit altogether.

Installation

The tyre fits directly onto the existing Polaris wheel hub with no special tools required — simply stretch the tyre over the rim bead, seat it evenly and reinstall the wheel on the cleaner. Replace all three tyres at the same time to ensure balanced traction and consistent cleaning patterns across the pool.
