The BL120-550 is a Ø 50 mm saddle clamp used to mount a measuring electrode directly onto a PVC pipe in a pool water treatment circuit. It creates a sealed, threaded take-off point so a pH, ORP or chlorine probe can sit in the flowing water without a separate flow cell. It belongs to the Hanna Instruments accessory range for the BL12x, BL13x and HI5x0 controller families.

Avec quoi ça va ?

Designed for Ø 50 mm PVC pressure pipe, the standard size on many commercial pool filtration and dosing loops. The electrode port is intended for the probes supplied with Hanna Instruments BL12x, BL13x and HI5x0 series controllers. Check the outer diameter of your pipework before ordering, as saddle clamps are size-specific and will not seal on a 63 mm or 40 mm line.

Position de montage

The clamp is fitted around the pipe and tightened evenly so the gasket seals against the drilled take-off hole. Mount it on a section with continuous flow, downstream of the filter and upstream of the injection points, so the probe reads treated but not yet dosed water. Keep the electrode close to vertical to avoid air pockets around the sensing tip and leave clearance above for probe removal and calibration.

Durée de vie

The clamp body itself is a long-life mechanical part and normally outlasts several sets of electrodes. The sealing gasket is the wear item and can harden or deform after repeated probe changes or exposure to high chlorine levels. Replace the clamp if you see weeping around the saddle, a cracked body, or if the thread no longer holds the electrode securely.

Remarques concernant la commande

Sold individually as a single saddle clamp, not as a kit, and supplied without an electrode or controller. If you are equipping a system that measures pH and ORP separately, order one clamp per probe. Confirm the pipe diameter and the thread of your existing probe body before purchase.
