The Blue Lagoon Saltwater UV-C 40W Short is a compact UV-C sanitiser developed specifically for saltwater pools, though it works equally well with chlorinated water. It uses UV-C radiation at a wavelength of 253.7 nm — the most effective wavelength for destroying bacteria, viruses, moulds, and algae, including resistant organisms such as Legionella and Cryptosporidium. The built-in electronic ballast ensures the Philips T5 40W lamp (365 mm) operates at its optimum intensity at all times. The “Short” design measures approximately 48 cm, making it ideal where installation space is limited.
