This is the genuine Zodiac replacement evaporator coil for the Zodiac Z950 90 heat pump (reference WH000462). The evaporator coil is a critical component of the refrigeration circuit: it absorbs thermal energy from the surrounding air and transfers it into the refrigerant, enabling the heat pump to efficiently warm your pool water. As Position 1 in the official Fluidra exploded view diagram, it is the primary heat-exchange assembly within the unit.

This evaporator coil is designed exclusively for the Zodiac Z950 90 heat pump, product reference WH000462. The Z950 range is Zodiac’s large-pool heat pump series, delivering up to 98 kW of heating output at 28 °C ambient conditions and operating reliably down to -12 °C thanks to an optimised cooling circuit and intelligent defrost logic. Always verify your heat pump’s model reference before ordering, as other Z950 variants (Z950 35, 45, 60, 120) are not covered by this part.

Using an authentic Zodiac/Fluidra spare part ensures precise dimensional and refrigerant-circuit compatibility, maintaining the heat pump’s rated COP of up to 5.6 and protecting your warranty. Non-genuine coils risk refrigerant leaks, reduced efficiency, and premature compressor failure — particularly critical in a high-capacity commercial-pool unit like the Z950 90.

Replacement of the evaporator coil involves accessing the refrigeration circuit, which contains pressurised refrigerant. This work must be carried out by a qualified refrigeration or heat-pump technician holding the appropriate F-gas certification. Refer to the official Zodiac Z950 installation and service manual, and always use the Fluidra exploded view diagram (Position 1) to confirm correct fitment before and during installation.
