This is a genuine Flotide/MEGA replacement compressor crankcase heating belt (bellyband type) designed for the Flotide/MEGA Inverter heat pump, Type Xp12Csie. It wraps around the base of the compressor and keeps it gently warmed when the unit is not running, preventing refrigerant from migrating into and mixing with the compressor oil during periods of inactivity.

When a heat pump sits idle — especially in cooler ambient temperatures — refrigerant can condense and accumulate in the compressor crankcase, diluting the lubricating oil. The crankcase heating belt keeps the compressor at a safe temperature above the coldest point of the system, protecting internal components and ensuring the compressor is ready for a clean, safe start-up every time.

This heating belt is a factory spare part for the Flotide/MEGA Inverter heat pump, Type Xp12Csie. It features an 8×4mm connector plug for direct, correct-fit replacement. Always verify your heat pump model and connector type before ordering to ensure compatibility.

The belt is designed to be mounted externally around the base of the compressor. Because work on refrigeration and heat pump systems involves live electrical circuits and components that can become very hot, installation should be carried out by a qualified HVAC or refrigeration technician.
