This is the genuine Maytronics cable update retrofit (actualization) for the Dolphin Ex 45 CB robotic pool cleaner, designed to modernise the cable connector interface to the current 2010-standard connection system. It allows owners of older Dolphin units to upgrade the cable connection point without replacing the entire cable assembly, bridging the older assembled-plug (ASSY) format to the current design.

The 2010-series cable retrofit updates the connection interface between the power supply cable and the cleaner body. Rather than sourcing an entirely new full-length cable, this part enables a targeted upgrade of the connector section alone, restoring a secure, watertight electrical connection and eliminating intermittent faults caused by a worn or outdated connector format.

This part is listed specifically for the Maytronics Dolphin Ex 45 CB. The 2010-style retrofit connector has also been used across a wide range of Dolphin platforms — including wave, M-series and premium commercial models — confirming that this is a well-established Maytronics connector standard, not a one-off component.

The cleaner fails to power on despite a functioning power supply unit; the cable connector feels loose or shows signs of corrosion or water ingress at the robot end; an intermittent loss of power during the cleaning cycle is traced to the connector junction rather than the cable itself. Any of these symptoms points to the connector interface as the failure point this retrofit resolves.

Maytronics designs the connector to precise dimensional and electrical tolerances to ensure a positive lock, full water-resistance rating and correct current transfer. Counterfeit or third-party substitutes may appear identical but frequently fail to maintain the seal under pool chemistry and temperature cycling, creating a safety and operational risk. Only a genuine Maytronics part guarantees compatibility with the Dolphin Ex 45 CB’s cable management system.
