This genuine Davey spare part kit (33159SP) contains the first-generation impeller, neck ring, and mechanical seal for the Davey StarFlo DSF300 pool pump. These three components work together as the hydraulic heart of the pump, moving pool water through the filtration circuit. Replacing them as a matched set restores full pump performance and prevents water leakage at the seal face.

This kit is designed exclusively for the first-generation Davey StarFlo DSF300 single-phase pool pump (1.5 hp / 1100 W). The DSF300 is engineered for in-ground and above-ground pools, large swim spas, plunge pools, and solar pool heating applications. Always confirm you have a first-generation DSF300 before ordering — later DSF300-1 variants use a different impeller and seal assembly (part 33168SP).

The mechanical seal is the most common wear item in a pool pump and should be replaced whenever water is found leaking from the seal housing, or if the pump runs dry. The impeller and neck ring should be inspected at the same time: a worn or cracked impeller causes loss of flow and pressure, while a damaged neck ring allows internal recirculation and reduced efficiency. Replacing all three parts together during a service ensures optimum hydraulic performance and avoids repeat strip-downs.

Davey StarFlo pumps feature a corrosion-resistant Noryl impeller and a high-performance silicon carbide Viton mechanical seal, materials specifically chosen for long service life in chlorinated and salt pool water. Genuine Davey parts are manufactured to the same tolerances as the original components, ensuring correct fit, rated flow, and seal integrity from the first run.
