This is the genuine Davey replacement transformer for the EcoSalt 13 salt-water chlorinator (BMSC series, 13 g/h output). The transformer is the core power-conversion component inside the chlorinator’s control unit, stepping mains voltage down to the low-voltage DC supply required to drive the electrolytic cell. It is typically replaced when the chlorinator shows no output or fails to power on despite intact fuses and a good mains supply.

This transformer is designed specifically for the Davey / Monarch EcoSalt 13 (BMSC series) salt chlorinator — the 13 g/h model. It is not interchangeable with the EcoSalt 20 or EcoSalt 26 variants, as voltage and power ratings differ between models. Always verify your chlorinator’s model label before ordering.

Davey’s own documentation warns that using non-genuine electrical components can cause serious damage to the electronics inside the unit and may void any remaining warranty. A genuine OEM transformer ensures the correct voltage output, thermal protection characteristics, and long-term reliability in a poolside environment.

Replacement of an internal transformer requires opening the chlorinator’s control enclosure and working with mains-connected circuitry. This work must be carried out by a qualified electrician or authorised Davey service agent in accordance with local electrical regulations.
