This is the genuine Davey replacement power supply unit (transformer) for the EcoSalt 2 salt pool chlorination system, supplied complete with mounting screws. It fits the 25 g/hr and 35 g/hr European-market models — specifically the DES2-25E and DES2-35E — and is the unit that converts mains power into the low-voltage DC current required to drive the in-line electrolytic cell. It is typically replaced when the control box fails to power up, the display is dead, or the unit no longer produces chlorine despite the cell being in good condition.

Part 33187SP is the correct power supply for the Davey EcoSalt 2 DES2-25E (25 g/hr) and DES2-35E (35 g/hr) models. A separate power supply — part 33186SP — is used for the smaller 15 g/hr variants (DES2-15E and DES2-15EL). Always verify your model number on the unit label before ordering.

Davey’s own documentation stresses that only genuine EcoSalt 2 components are designed and warranted to work with the system’s electronics. Using non-genuine or clone parts can cause serious damage to the internal electronics and will void the warranty. This OEM power supply is engineered to the correct voltage and current specification for the 25 g/hr and 35 g/hr output cells, ensuring safe and reliable chlorine production.

The unit mounts vertically on a wall or post using the included self-tapping screws, and Davey recommends positioning it no closer than 3 metres from the pool water. All mains power connections must be carried out by a qualified, authorised electrician. Ensure the unit is kept away from acid fumes, chemical storage, and heat sources, and that adequate ventilation is maintained for correct operation.
