The Water-ID Alkalinity-M tablets are genuine photometer-grade reagents for measuring total alkalinity (m-alkalinity / KS4.3) in pool and spa water. Each tablet dissolves in a water sample and enables the PoolLab 1.0 or PoolLab 2.0 photometer to deliver a precise, laboratory-quality reading across the 0–200 mg/l (ppm) range. This pack contains 50 tablets, individually sealed in aluminium push-through blister strips of 10 for maximum freshness and accuracy.

Why Total Alkalinity Matters

Total alkalinity acts as your pool water’s pH buffer — it resists sudden swings caused by rainwater, bather load, or chemical dosing. The widely accepted target range is 80–120 ppm; levels that fall outside this window can lead to corrosive water that damages surfaces and equipment, or to cloudiness and reduced chlorine effectiveness that affects swimmer comfort and safety. Regular, reliable testing is the first step to keeping water balanced.

Compatibilidad

These reagent tablets are formulated exclusively for use with the Water-ID PoolLab 1.0 and PoolLab 2.0 photometers. They are not designed for use with colorimetric test kits, test strips, or third-party photometers. Using genuine Water-ID Alkalinity-M tablets ensures the photometer’s calibration curves deliver consistent, trustworthy results every time.

How to Use

Fill the PoolLab cuvette with a water sample taken from approximately 30–40 cm below the pool surface, away from return jets. Press one Alkalinity-M tablet through the foil directly into the cuvette, replace the cap, and shake gently to dissolve. Insert the cuvette into your PoolLab photometer and select the Alkalinity parameter to read your result in mg/l (ppm). Replace tablets once the stated shelf life (approximately 2 years from manufacture) has passed to maintain measurement accuracy.
