Quartz Glass Sleeve QG009 – VSC 461 × 44 mm (36W Amalgam)
The QG009 is a high-purity quartz glass sleeve for use in UV-C pool, pond and water treatment systems. Quartz glass transmits UV-C radiation (254 nm) with minimal absorption, protecting the lamp from direct water contact while maintaining peak germicidal output.
When to Replace
Replace the quartz glass sleeve whenever it is cracked, cloudy or shows mineral deposits that cannot be removed with a dilute acid clean. A fouled sleeve can reduce UV-C output by up to 50%, significantly lowering disinfection effectiveness. The 44 mm wide tube is typical of the compact but powerful Amalgam VSC models.
