This Profec ultrasonic water meter in stainless steel 304 is engineered for accurate, maintenance-free volumetric measurement in commercial, industrial, and irrigation water systems. With a nominal diameter of DN50 and DIN flange connections rated to 16 bar, the meter suits high-flow distribution networks, greenhouse irrigation headers, and plant-room installations where long-term metrological accuracy is required. MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) certification and Class 2 accuracy classification make it legally compliant for fiscal and billing applications across EU member states.

The ultrasonic measurement principle contains no moving parts in the flow path, eliminating wear and drift over time. The body is machined from stainless steel 304, while the flange housing is ductile iron — a combination that resists corrosion in treated pool and irrigation water while providing the mechanical robustness needed for flanged pipework. An integrated 3.6 V lithium battery powers the meter independently of any mains supply, and the backlit LCD display with hinged protective cover allows easy reading in all site conditions. A calibrated temperature sensor (resolution 0.1 °C) is built in alongside the flow measurement channel.

The 2-wire M-Bus output is compatible with standard M-Bus master devices and building/irrigation management systems (BMS/IMS) that support the EN 13757 M-Bus protocol. The meter is suitable for cold and hot water applications up to 50 °C, covering cold-water mains, heated pool fill lines, and greenhouse irrigation circuits. It is not intended for gas, steam, or chemically aggressive media outside the compatibility range of stainless steel 304.
