Blue Lagoon – Tapping Saddle 50 mm × 3/4″ Male Thread for Flow Switch

This genuine Blue Lagoon tapping saddle lets you add a secure, leak-free branch connection to an existing 50 mm pool pipework run, specifically sized to mount the Blue Lagoon flow switch via its 3/4″ male thread. By fitting a flow switch into your pipework, your UV-C disinfection unit is protected — it will only activate when sufficient water flow is detected. The saddle clamps firmly around the pipe so no cutting or major replumbing is needed.

Compatibilidad

Designed as an optional spare part for the Blue Lagoon UV-C product range, including the Tech, Tech 4ALL, Timer 4ALL, Signal, and Copper Ionizer UV-C systems. It is intended for use with 50 mm diameter pool pipework. For 63 mm or 75 mm pipes, Blue Lagoon also offers the equivalent SP0071 and SP0072 saddles respectively.

Cómo funciona

The saddle clamps around the outside of the pipe and is secured with bolts. A hole is then drilled through the pipe at the saddle’s threaded port, and the flow switch is screwed directly into the 3/4″ thread — creating a clean, watertight inline connection without cutting out a pipe section. A rubber seal between the saddle and pipe ensures a pressure-tight joint.

Instalación

Shut off the water supply and clamp the saddle to the pipe at the desired location. Drill through the pipe at the saddle port, apply suitable thread sealant, and screw in the flow switch. While the principle is straightforward, it is recommended that installation is carried out by a qualified pool technician to ensure correct sealing and compliance with local plumbing requirements.
