Bermad K10 Kinetic Air Release and Vacuum Valve — 3/4″ Male Thread, 10 bar

This kinetic combination air valve is engineered for pressurised irrigation and water distribution pipelines where reliable air management is critical. During pipeline filling, the large orifice opens to expel bulk air rapidly, then closes as water rises. Under vacuum conditions — such as when a pump stops — the valve reopens immediately to admit air, preventing column separation and the destructive water-hammer surges that follow. The two-stage kinetic action is handled by a single float mechanism, keeping the design compact and maintenance-friendly.

The valve body is moulded from glass-fibre reinforced nylon, delivering a strength-to-weight ratio that outperforms standard nylon or polypropylene in demanding field conditions. The red upper chamber houses the float and orifice assembly, while the grey lower base section carries the 3/4 inch BSP male threaded inlet. Internal sealing is provided by EPDM, which resists chlorinated water, mild fertiliser solutions, and the temperature cycling typical of outdoor irrigation systems. The valve is rated from 1 °C to 60 °C, making it suitable for year-round use in temperate and subtropical climates.

Compatibilidad

Designed for installation at high points in 3/4 inch pressurised irrigation mainlines, sub-mains, and lateral pipework operating up to 10 bar. Suitable for drip, sprinkler, and micro-irrigation systems supplied with clean or lightly filtered water within the stated temperature range. The 3/4 inch BSP male thread mates directly with standard female BSP fittings and saddle outlets. Not recommended for raw unfiltered water containing suspended solids that may foul the float seat, or for system pressures exceeding 10 bar.

Bermad Air release-vacuum valve glass-filled nylon 3/4" male thread 10bar red kinetic type K10 — main
  • Kinetic dual-function design handles both bulk air release and vacuum break in a single compact valve
  • Glass-filled nylon body offers high impact resistance and low weight compared with metal alternatives
  • EPDM seals tolerate chlorinated water and common fertiliser solutions used in irrigation
  • 3/4" male BSP thread installs directly onto standard saddle outlets and female fittings — no adapters needed
  • Rated to 10 bar, covering the majority of pressurised irrigation and pool circulation applications
  • Single pipe size only — a separate valve is required for each additional line size
  • Not suitable for raw or heavily particle-laden water; pre-filtration recommended to protect the float seat
  • Maximum 60 °C limits use in high-temperature process or thermal solar applications
