The Davey M4513 is a genuine OEM cable gland (connector gland) for the electrolysis cell of the ProMatic MPS, ESR, and ESC series salt water chlorinator systems. It forms a watertight seal around the cell’s electrical cable at the point where it enters the cell head, protecting internal connections from moisture, chemical exposure, and mechanical strain. This small but critical component is typically replaced when the existing gland becomes cracked, brittle, or no longer seals correctly — symptoms that can lead to corrosion of cell contacts or moisture ingress into the cell head.

This cable gland is a genuine Davey spare part designed for the ProMatic MPS, ESR, and ESC range of salt water chlorinators, including ESC-pH variants. It matches the cell connector cable entry point on all standard ESC and MPS series cells. Always verify your system’s part number before ordering, as other Davey chlorinator families use different cell connection components.

Using a genuine Davey replacement ensures the gland provides the correct thread form, sealing profile, and chemical resistance required for a salt-water pool environment. Third-party substitutes may not match the precise dimensions of the ESC cell head, risking inadequate sealing and potential damage to the cell’s electrical contacts over time. A correct seal also maintains the integrity of any remaining warranty on your chlorinator cell.

Always disconnect power to the controller and pump before working on the cell or its cabling. The gland should be threaded into the cell head by hand first, then tightened firmly with the appropriate tool to achieve a watertight seal without over-tightening the plastic fitting. If in doubt, installation by a qualified pool technician is recommended to avoid damaging the cell head or cable insulation.
